Something worth reading...
Don't undermine your worth by comparing
yourself with others,
It is because we are different that each
of us is special.
Don't set your goals by what other people
deem important,
Only you know what is best for you.
Don't take for granted the things closest
to your heart
Cling to that as you would your life, for without
them life is meaningless.
Don't let your life slip through your fingers by living
in the past or the future.
By living your life one day at a time, you live all the
days of your life.
Don't give up when you still have something to give
Nothing is really over … until the moment
you stop trying.
Don't be afraid to admit that you are less
than perfect,
It is the fragile thread that binds us to each other.
Don't dismiss your Dreams. To be without
dreams is to be without hope.
To be without hope is to be without purpose.
Don't run through life so fast that you forget
where you've been,
But also know where you're going.
Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored
every step of the way.
A short video summarizing some of the most important characteristics of students today - how they learn, what they need to learn, their goals, hopes, dreams, what their lives will be like, and what kinds of changes they will experience in their lifetime. Created by Michael Wesch in collaboration with 200 students at Kansas State University.
My question to you would be:
Do you think that the information in the video represents you as a student?

I remembered the first lesson (lifeskills) with 3N1, I shared about Terry Fox. A man who ran across canada on one leg (the other was an artificial leg) to raise funds for cancer patients.
Terry was only 18 years old when he was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma (bone cancer) and forced to have his right leg amputated 15 centimetres (six inches) above the knee in 1977. While in hospital, Terry was so overcome by the suffering of other cancer patients, many of them young children, that he decided to run across Canada to raise money for cancer research.
He would call his journey the Marathon of Hope.
After 18 months and running over 5,000 kilometres (3,107 miles) to prepare, Terry started his run in St. John’s, Newfoundland on April 12, 1980 with little fanfare. Although it was difficult to garner attention in the beginning, enthusiasm soon grew, and the money collected along his route began to mount. He ran 42 kilometres (26 miles) a day through Canada's Atlantic provinces, Quebec and Ontario.
It was a journey that Canadians never forgot.
However, on September 1st, after 143 days and 5,373 kilometres (3,339 miles), Terry was forced to stop running outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario because cancer had appeared in his lungs. An entire nation was stunned and saddened. Terry passed away on June 28, 1981 at age 22.
The heroic Canadian was gone, but his legacy was just beginning.
To date, more than $400 million has been raised worldwide for cancer research in Terry's name through the annual Terry Fox Run, held across Canada and around the world.

Key word from today's CME's lesson is Respect.
What is respect? Respect means alot of different things. When you respect someone, you are valuing what he/she says and are taking the words seriously.
'Respect can be shown through behavior and it can also be felt. We can act in ways which are considered respectful, yet we can also feel respect for someone and feel respected by someone. Because it is possible to act in ways that do not reflect how we really feel, the feeling of respect is more important than the behavior without the feeling. When the feeling is there, the behavior will naturally follow.'

A meaningful song that tells about the determination that a person has despite the storms she faces. Indeed, life is a road that I want to keep going!
This video shows a young man in his late 20s who does not have any limbs but have live life bravely and has attained two degrees! Despite his circumstances, he chose to do the things that many people will say is impossible. Nothing is impossible as impossible is nothing.
Do we want to grumble each day as if everyone owns us something? or do we want to live a life that is meaningful with a grateful heart for all the things that we have (our parents, sibling, friends, teachers, a healthy body etc)It's all about a matter of choice, our hearts desires and our purpose in the things that we do.
Dearest 3N1 ladies and gentlemen,
This blog will allow me to share with you videos that have inspired me and motivated me in my daily life. Despite the storms that we may face, Life is the road that I want to keep going.
Do your best in all that you do (Esp. in your studies/ CCA) and live life everyday without any regrets!
Best regards,
Ms Goh
